Images
- Fancy displaying an your images without bothering to embed them in a web page well you can
try this example
click here to see Loch Lomond
Just create hyperlink as before. Click the world wide web tab (1).
ENSURE that the hyperlink type box (2) is set at either [other] or file.
Enter your file name including its file type e.g. loch.jpeg (3)
This make the browser open and display the file called "lochlomond.jpg". Note we added _blank to the target frame box (4) to open a new separate window. Otherwise you would loose the current page (for more see how to target links)
Now note depending on how you have your file associations set up may mean that a graphics program may open this instead.
Sound - The same can be applied to sound files
e.g. click here to hear me speak
Just create hyperlink as before. Click the world wide web tab (1).
ENSURE that the hyperlink type box (2) is set at either [other] or file.
Enter your file name including its file type e.g. speak.wav (3).
It's worth adding _blank to the target frame box (4) to open a new separate window as some browsers will display a sound file as a plug in rather than stand alone.

Video - The same is true for video files
e.g. mouse2.mov
Just create hyperlink as before. Click the world wide web tab (1).
ENSURE that the hyperlink type box (2) is set at either [other] or file.
Enter your file name including its file type e.g. mouse2.mov (3). Of course add _blank in the target frame box (4) as before with images or you will loose your current page
